Ambien

Ambien is a non-benzodiazepine medication acting as both a hypnotic and a sedative. It is a type-A agonist of the GABA (gamma amino-butyric acid) receptor belonging to the group of an imidazopyridine, increasing the effects of GABA in the central nervous system by attaching to GABA-A receptors similarly like benzodiazepines.
