Oxycodone

Oxycodone is an opioid medicine available for the management of moderate to severe pain. It is an oral medication in both immediate-release and extended-release formulations. Oxycodone’s onset of action typically begins within 15 minutes, and effects wear off in about six hours for immediate-release forms. Oxycodone is more potent than morphine as studies show that 5 mg of oxycodone has roughly 1.5 times the effectiveness of 5 mg morphine.
